This is a walking tour through the down-town area where we will be able to see the Colonial architecture (listed buildings). We will visit, for example, the Mosteiro (Monastry) of Sao Bento, an impressive 17th century Church where they still have the mass in Gregorial choir on sundays. Visit the Cultural Center of Banco do Brasil, Praça-XV and Paço Imperial, the original Palace of The Royal Family, when they arrived in Rio back in 1808. Walking through Candelaria and see from the outside the Municipal Theatre, Fine Arts Museum and The Library. While in down-town a special stop at Confeitaria Colombo (a live memory of Rio de Janeiro) for a cup of coffee, tea or why not a beer?
